About Us

Initially (in England) Colonel C L Bagnall, DSO, MC, laid the foundation stone of Cartophily in the 1920s. By the 1930s the first card clubs were formed. In 1938 the Cartophilic Society of Great Britain was formed, which was then followed by several other overseas Societies.

The Cartophilic Society of New Zealand Inc was formed in 1975. After twenty five years the Society has provided card collectors with a wealth of reference material; it has cemented many friendships; banded together card collectors throughout the world; and has preserved a fascinating and captivating hobby to be prized and enjoyed by generations to come.
